Bokio is cloud accounting software built in Gothenburg and Stockholm for self-employed people and small businesses, with a UK arm focused on Making Tax Digital compliance. The free tier covers manual bookkeeping; the Premium plan (£19.95–£24.95 per month) adds bank-feed imports, automated VAT returns submitted directly to HMRC, Self Assessment filing, recurring invoices and reports including ledger, balance sheet and profit-and-loss. Card payments come through built-in Stripe and Zettle integrations, and unlimited collaborators — including external accountants — can be invited at no extra cost.
