eubuilt.eu is a hand-curated directory of European software products. We exist because finding genuinely EU-headquartered, EU-jurisdiction, and GDPR-compliant tools is harder than it should be — and the alternative directories don't bother to check.
To make it easy for anyone to discover, evaluate, and switch to European software alternatives — reducing dependency on non-EU vendors and strengthening digital sovereignty.
If you've ever searched for "European alternatives to Google Analytics" or "GDPR-compliant CRM", you know the experience: SEO-spam listicles, directories that haven't been updated in years, and "European" tools that turn out to be Delaware-registered with their data sitting in Northern Virginia.
The information is out there, but it's scattered, stale, and structurally untrustworthy. There's no editorial bar — most directories will list anything that pays them, or anything that fits the keyword.
We thought there should be a better answer. eubuilt.eu lists a product only if it meets all three criteria — manually verified, by us, every six months. No paid placements. No affiliate-driven editorial. No "European" stretches.
Whether you're a CTO writing a procurement memo, a privacy officer responding to an audit, or just an indie founder tired of consent banners — we want this to be the first place you look, and the first place you trust.
Every listing on eubuilt.eu has been reviewed by hand. We check the company's registered legal entity, its data-processing setup, its sub-processors, its privacy policy, and its actual hosting region — not just what the marketing site claims.
If a company moves its HQ, gets acquired by a non-EU parent, removes its DPA, or otherwise stops meeting our criteria, we deprecate the listing. If you spot something we missed, please flag it.
You can read the full criteria here.
Public form, automated checks for HQ + GDPR page, then manual editorial review. SLA: under one week.
Editor reads the privacy policy, checks the DPA, confirms the legal entity register, checks sub-processors.
Every active listing is re-checked at least every six months. Companies that fail are deprecated, with public notes.
Anyone can flag a listing. Flags are triaged within 48h and trigger an out-of-cycle review when warranted.
A short list, because the list of things directories typically do that we won't is what makes us different.
The criteria are non-negotiable. No vendor has ever been added because they paid for it, and none ever will be.
If Mistral failed re-verification tomorrow, it would be deprecated like any other listing. Same for Hetzner, Plausible, or anyone else.
Some "Visit Website" CTAs route through affiliate programs where they exist — but never as a factor in whether a product is listed or pinned.
If we can't confirm a product's HQ, jurisdiction, and GDPR compliance to our standard, we don't list it. The bar is the bar.
Read the full criteria here. They've been the same since launch and any future change will be announced publicly.
We use OVH (FR) for hosting, DNS and email.
