Bitwig Studio

Bitwig Studio is a digital audio workstation developed by Bitwig GmbH, founded in 2009 in Berlin by four ex-Ableton engineers. Bitwig runs on Linux, macOS and Windows and is built around a modular signal-flow architecture, supporting both linear arrangement and clip-based live performance, with 140+ built-in instruments and effects and 20+ GB of bundled content. The product is sold in Producer, Studio and Essentials editions, and was recognised as DAW of the Year by Computer Music (2017) and MusicRadar (2023). In 2025 Bitwig released its first hardware product, the Bitwig Connect audio/MIDI interface and DAW controller.
