About Ableton Live
Ableton AG is a music software company headquartered in the Prenzlauer Berg district of Berlin, founded in 1999 by Gerhard Behles, Robert Henke and Bernd Roggendorf. Its flagship DAW Ableton Live, first released in 2001, is built equally for live performance and for composing, recording, arranging, mixing and mastering, and is best known for its Session View clip launcher and Warping time-stretching engine. The company also makes the Push and Move hardware controllers and ships Max for Live for building custom devices. Live comes in Intro, Standard and Suite editions; a second office sits in Pasadena, California.
