About Withings
Withings is a French connected-health hardware company headquartered at 2 rue Maurice Hartmann in Issy-les-Moulineaux, with offices in Boston and Hong Kong. Founded in 2008 by Éric Carreel, Cédric Hutchings and Fred Potter, it released the first Wi-Fi body scale in 2009 and now sells smart scales, FDA-cleared blood-pressure monitors, hybrid analog smartwatches, sleep mats and the BeamO multi-sensor health device, all syncing into the Withings Health Mate app. Withings was acquired by Nokia in 2016 and Éric Carreel bought it back in 2018, since which time the company has operated independently from France.
