Taxfix is a Berlin-based mobile and web tax filing app launched in 2017, focused on German employees who want to file their annual income tax return without prior knowledge. Around 70 guided questions estimate the refund up front, and the return is submitted directly to the Finanzamt via the official ELSTER API. Available in German and English. Pricing: self-filing from €39.99 per return, Expert Service from €99.99, or Taxfix+ subscription at €39.99/year (single) or €59.99 (joint). Over 8 million returns submitted to date totalling more than €4.5bn in refunds.
