Ecosia Browser

Ecosia Browser is a free, Chromium-based desktop and mobile browser launched in April 2024 by Berlin-based Ecosia GmbH, the not-for-profit search company founded in 2009. Available on Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, the browser bundles a built-in ad blocker (which the company says lets pages load up to three times faster), tracker blocking, an AI chatbot and a climate-pledge rating that scores company sustainability commitments. Profits, including affiliate-link revenue, fund tree planting, biodiversity restoration and renewable-energy projects; Ecosia generates roughly 25 Wh of solar energy per user per day.
