Dassault Systèmes SE (3DS) is a French multinational software company founded in 1981 and headquartered at 10 Rue Marcel Dassault in Vélizy-Villacoublay, with around 25,000 employees across 184 offices worldwide. It develops 3D design, simulation, manufacturing and product lifecycle management software for industries from aerospace and automotive to consumer goods and life sciences. Flagship products include CATIA for product design, SOLIDWORKS for mechanical CAD, ENOVIA for PLM, SIMULIA for simulation, DELMIA for manufacturing and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform that ties them together. By the 1990s its software was used in seven of every ten new airplanes and four of every ten new cars.
