IONOS is a German hosting and cloud provider headquartered in Montabaur, the rebranded successor to 1&1's hosting and cloud arm, part of the United Internet group. The product range covers shared and managed web hosting, dedicated and cloud servers, managed Kubernetes, a Compute Engine, domains, SSL, business email and SaaS apps such as a website builder and Microsoft 365 reselling. Major data centres run in Karlsruhe and other German sites plus the US, with European data residency and GDPR compliance.
