Hotjar

Hotjar is a behaviour analytics product founded in 2014 in St Julian's, Malta and now wholly part of the Paris-based Contentsquare group following the 2021 acquisition and the July 2025 merger of Hotjar Ltd. into Contentsquare. Its core capabilities are heatmaps, session recordings, on-site surveys and feedback widgets, plus forms, polls and funnel analysis. Plans are now Free, Growth, Pro and Enterprise; the Free Forever plan still includes heatmaps, recordings, surveys and feedback widgets. Customers are now invoiced by a Contentsquare entity following the 2025 merger.
