Cara Care

Cara Care is a digital health app for digestive conditions developed by HiDoc Technologies GmbH, headquartered in Berlin. It supports patients with IBS, IBD, GERD and gastritis through symptom and food tracking, dietary interventions and CBT-based mind-body programmes. Cara Care for IBS was approved in January 2022 as a permanently listed German DiGA, so doctors can prescribe it and statutory health insurers reimburse the cost in full for around 90% of Germans. The app has surpassed 700,000 downloads and an international 4.8 App Store rating. Bayer announced its acquisition of HiDoc Technologies and Cara Care in December 2024, closing in Q1 2025.
