bunq is a Dutch neobank founded in Amsterdam in 2012, supervised by De Nederlandsche Bank with deposits guaranteed up to €100,000 by the Dutch scheme. It offers personal and business plans across most of the EEA with multiple sub-accounts (each with its own IBAN), SEPA Instant, Mastercard debit cards, Apple/Google Pay, savings interest paid weekly and a metal card on higher tiers. Plans range from a free tier through bunq Core (€3.99/month) up to bunq Pro and Elite. Business plans add VAT separation and accounting integrations.
