About tiqr

tiqr is an open-source two-factor authentication solution built around a smartphone app that scans a QR code to confirm logins. It was invented at SURFnet (now SURF) in the Netherlands in 2010 with Egeniq and Stroomt, is based on OATH standards, and is released under a BSD-style licence with all source code freely available. tiqr is widely deployed in Dutch research and education via SURFsecureID as a second factor for federated web applications.
