About Qdrant

Qdrant is an open-source vector search engine and database written in Rust, developed by Berlin-based Qdrant Solutions GmbH. It supports billions of vectors with a small memory footprint thanks to advanced quantisation (up to 64x reduction), instant indexing, attached JSON payloads with rich filtering (keyword, full-text, numeric range, geo), and hybrid search blending dense vectors with BM25, SPLADE++ and miniCOIL. The engine is Apache 2.0 licensed and can run on-prem, hybrid, edge or in Qdrant Cloud, where billing is per vCPU, memory, storage and inference tokens, with a 1 GB RAM / 4 GB disk free tier.
