n8n is an open-source workflow-automation platform built by n8n GmbH in Berlin, Germany, founded in 2019 by Jan Oberhauser. Its visual node editor lets developers and operations teams chain together more than 350 apps and APIs, with code nodes for custom JavaScript or Python, queue mode for scaling, and built-in support for AI agents and LLM workflows. It can be self-hosted under a fair-code licence or used on n8n Cloud, with paid plans scaling on workflow executions. The company has raised over $200M from Sequoia, Accel, NVentures and Deutsche Telekom's T.Capital.
