Mullvad is a Swedish consumer VPN founded in 2009 and headquartered in Gothenburg. Accounts are anonymous (a 16-digit account number, no email required), the clients are open source under GPLv3, and traffic runs over WireGuard or OpenVPN with only ephemeral session data kept. Pricing is a flat EUR 5 per month regardless of subscription length, and Mullvad accepts cash and Monero alongside cards, bank transfer and crypto for payment privacy.
