GoStudent

GoStudent is an online tutoring platform founded in Vienna in 2016 by Felix Ohswald and Gregor Müller, headquartered in the Austrian capital. The service offers paid one-to-one tuition over Zoom-style video classes in more than 30 subjects from languages and maths to sciences for K-12 students, sold on a subscription/membership model with weekly recurring slots. Tutors are screened heavily (only around 5% of applicants are accepted) and matched to students with help from AI; group lessons and a GoVR virtual-reality language product are also available. The company hit unicorn status in 2021 and processes more than 1.5 million tutoring sessions per month.
