Codestral

Codestral is the code-generation model family from French AI lab Mistral AI, headquartered in Paris. The flagship 22B-parameter model is trained on 80+ programming languages including Python, Java, C, C++, JavaScript and Bash, and supports code completion, fill-in-the-middle, test generation and chat over a 32K-token context (up to 256K in Codestral 25.08), with a single endpoint covering both instruct and completion. It plugs into VS Code and JetBrains via Continue.dev and Tabnine and into LlamaIndex and LangChain for agents. Weights are released under the Mistral AI Non-Production Licence (commercial licences on demand); API pricing is around USD 0.30 per million input and USD 0.90 per million output tokens.
