About Codeberg

Codeberg is a non-profit, community-run code hosting platform operated by the German registered association Codeberg e.V. from Berlin, founded in 2018. It is built on the Forgejo Git forge and provides repository hosting, issue tracking, pull requests, Codeberg Pages static sites, Weblate translations and CI through Woodpecker and Forgejo Actions. The service hosts over 300,000 repositories and 200,000 user accounts and is positioned as a privacy-respecting GitHub alternative; recent migrations include Zig and Gentoo. Use is free of charge and funded by member fees and donations.
