About Boxy SVG
Boxy SVG is a focused vector-graphics editor built around the SVG file format, available as a browser app and as native desktop builds for Windows, macOS, ChromeOS and Linux. Created by developer Jarosław Foksa and first released in 2013, it pairs standard drawing tools — basic shapes, procedural primitives, quadratic and cubic Bézier paths, an arc tool — with developer-oriented features such as a Chromium-based rendering engine and a built-in SVG/CSS inspector. Reusable colors, gradients and patterns can be saved into the SVG <defs> section, and a Vectorize generator traces bitmaps into clean Bézier curves. The app reads and writes PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF and PDF, imports Adobe Illustrator files saved with PDF compatibility, and outputs minimal SVG that preserves IDs, classes, titles and other metadata.
